Learning that becomes a farm output, not a certificate.
Agricultural training is too often delivered, attended, and forgotten. Mothusi maps every course to MGS levers and to specific farm actions, so training produces applied outputs, evidence, and measurable progress.
One of thirteen workflows in the Agriculture layer. All connected to the same growth record.
Why it exists, and how it operates.
Mothusi assesses each farm against the lever set: financial recordkeeping, commodity planning, livestock health basics, biosecurity, input cost management, buyer readiness, climate resilience, post-harvest handling, cooperative governance.
Where a lever is weak, the matched course produces a specific applied output: a cash forecast, an input plan, a biosecurity checklist, a buyer pack, a post-harvest plan. Watching content is not enough. The applied output is the signal.
Discipline is tracked over time. A farmer who completes the course once and never uses the output produces a different signal to a farmer who uses it monthly. MGS captures the difference.
How it works in the field.
- 01
Skills gap identified
MGS assesses lever weakness against commodity and stage.
MGS Framework - 02
Training matched
Specific course or module mapped to the weak lever.
Learning Mgmt - 03
Course completed
Watched, quiz passed, content engaged.
Learning Mgmt - 04
Applied output uploaded
Forecast, checklist, log, or plan produced and submitted.
Growth record - 05
Discipline tracked monthly
Is the output being used and maintained, or filed and forgotten?
MGS Framework - 06
Evidence verified
Field visit or live data confirms the applied output is real.
Field workflow
What this workflow produces.
Each item below is a structured artefact written to the operator's growth record. Programme officers, funders, buyers, and the operator themselves can read and act on every one.
- Course completion record
- Applied output (forecast, checklist, plan)
- Monthly discipline frequency
- Lever movement signal
- Field verification confirmation
Different audiences. Same workflow output.
| Audience | Value delivered |
|---|---|
| Farmers | Applied skills, not abstract content. |
| Programmes | Training ROI measurable in applied outputs, not attendance. |
| Funders | Capability proof tied to discipline frequency. |
| Training providers | Course effectiveness visible at the lever level. |
Deploy this workflow in your agri-programme.
Whether your programme runs farmer development, vet dispatch, offtake-backed lending, or processor support, this workflow plugs into your existing operations and feeds the same growth record as every other Mothusi capability.
From business support to measurable enterprise development. Across sectors, countries, and real operating environments.
